Edwin Basye

Edwin is Steward of Sacred Garden Sanctuary. As Steward, Edwin is responsible for managing Sacred Garden Sanctuary and taking the community development forward as time and resources allow. Edwin had a long, successful career in computer programming and database management in Santa Clara, California. Suffering from burnout and disillusionment and realizing the need for a major shift in his life in 1999, he quit his job and moved to Rochester, New York where he pursued the quest of "what's next". He recognized that his career and the pursuit of material possessions for the sake of material possessions and status held no meaning and no spiritual reward for him. In 2000-2003, Edwin explored the healing arts and have been certified in several modalities of hands-on healing, including Reiki, Body-Talk, Integrated Energy Therapy, and Lomi-Lomi. He also studied organic gardening, which led him to Permaculture. He obtained certification in 2004. He became focused on sustainable living and a vegetarian lifestyle with lots of raw foods. During this period he also focused on improving his relationship skills and personal development. He has taken workshops with the Hendricks Foundation ("Conscious Loving"), the Human Awareness Institute, The Mankind Project, Re-evaluation Co-Counseling, The Heartwork Institute, and Sid Simon, as well as many other less-formal workshops and discussion groups. As a result of this work, he has deepened his understanding of himself, gained self-confidence, and improved his ability relate to others in both one-on-one and group settings. In December of 2003 he made another shift, moving to Arizona to actualize the dreams he has for a community of love, health, freedom, abundance, and spiritual development. His ideas about money have shifted into a more balanced view, realizing that money is very important to accomplish what he is passionate about in his life. Therefore, in 2007 he began a web design and development business to encourage sustainability in the business world, and to help fund the Sacred Garden Sanctuary and other projects. Edwin never considers himself finished with personal and spiritual growth, realizing that there is always so much more to learn and experience. He intends that the community which we will build will provide opportunities for personal growth for all participants, and an abundance of sustainable health, wealth, connected relationships, joy, and satisfaction. The Current Purpose and Direction of the Ministries

Seven Angels Ministries is currently focused on primarily two things: sustainable abundance for every human being on the planet, and practicing manifesting (co-creating) and helping others to manifest that which fulfills each of us at the deepest level. Practicing this is true spirituality. We believe attention on these areas is important to take us to the next step in human evolution.

Sustainable Abundance

Sustainable abundance includes optimal health for humankind and all species of life. It includes the use of sustainable agriculture practices to conserve water, build soil fertility (improving the quality of food), renewable energy sources that are close to carbon-neutral and ideally sequester carbon from the atmosphere, and the practice of healthy diet and exercise. Sustainable abundance of course includes a sustainable economy, which means taking responsibility for our finances individually and collectively by minimizing debt and creatively building sustainable businesses.
