Update for February 2008
Welcome to the new website! I have redesigned the entire site, porting it to Drupal. I used the Foliage theme with some modifications. I may eventually re-do the header image to incorporate some of the actual imagery of the Sanctuary.
In the past I have posted updates at the Sacred Garden Sanctuary Yahoo group. Now that we have blogging capability here, I will be posting updates here, and I hope that you will comment on them here if you are inclined to do so. You may see the archives at the old group if you are new and interested in the details of the project history.

It's been a few months since I have posted my last update. I have been focusing a lot on the Sites That Grow website business, and have limited time to make substantial progress at the Sanctuary. Here's what's been happening
- The watertank was almost complete. We didn't fill it with water right away and the next day a huge wind came up and blew the pool liner to pieces. A lesson learned. We will eventually be getting a new liner and installing it. We realized also that the tank frame made out of pallets was a little too large, so I am taking out a 2 foot section of the tank wall before proceeding. We will eventually get a new liner and complete the project
- We acquired another pickup-truck style camper from FreeCycle. It is old but in almost mint condition inside. It will need some minor repairs on the corners and the over-the-cab window needs replacing. It has a kitchen with stove, oven, sink, and refrigerator.and a nice little table. We are still preparing the site and the pathway to the site where it will rest, so it is still on the trailer we hauled it in with
- The water line burial is proceeding at a slow pace due to weather conditions, rocky ground, and lack of time. However, we will get the entire 1500 feet of line buried by next winter for sure. We have about 300 feet buried so far.
- Sarvamangala came for a visit in January from Rochester, New York. She enjoyed herself here and plans to be back next winter for a much longer stay. She helped out with a lot of badly needed cleaning and organizing. Thank you, Sarva!
- The wind blew the tin roof off of the composting toilet house. I will be building a new roof from plywood and asphalt shingles or roll roofing.
