Status Update

Recent activity:

• Diesel generator to run the well pump is now working. We estimate this to save up to 75% of fuel costs for water pumping
• The spring garden is coming along. More attention is needed to weeding and a few more plantings.
• We planted 2 more fruit trees to replace ones that died last year. Hopefully with more water they will survive.
• Added 40% shade cloth to the garden canopy. This is an experiment to see if even sun-loving vegetables grow faster, bigger, better. Certainly things like lettuce and kale will be happy with it.
• Started planting a windbreak of oleanders inside the Eldarica pines, about 20 feet outside the outer fruit trees.

Immediate future plans:

• Set the camper currently on the trailer in its place. This will involve moving Mike's car which is currently in the path and not running, so we will have to tow it out.
• Finish the large water tank
• Add another branch to the water system to service 2 campers, and add an additional faucet for watering trees.
