Sacred Garden Sanctuary Newsletter for October, 2011
In this Issue
To the left you can see some of the features of the pond: a water lily and the fish. Edwin needs to work on his water photography skills -- the fish picture is not the best quality.

Dan and Nikki have terraced an area in front of their camper and installed a fire pit and rock benches to sit on around it. The photograph on the right doesn't do it justice -- it has really added ambiance to that area.
Michael has left us to go to the Philippines for the warmer weather, and we wish him well ahd thank and appreciate and acknowledge him for all his contributions to the Sanctuary.
We have two new visitors on their way: an American woman coming from the Philippines, and a woman from Phoenix. There is also a couple from New Mexico who may visit us in their RV.
To the left is a recent photo of Edwin's cat, Goldie, such a sweetie.
We are busily growing greens for our winter garden in cell trays and have out-planted a few. We will be out-planting more throughout the next few weeks, as we do our fall garden cleanup and prep. We have also planted a bed of garlic. Thank you, Nikki, for all your loving care with the "babies".
Soon we will be starting to double-dig the new beds for the spring garden, which will double our main garden bed square-footage. This will require sifting and the addition of horse manure to the top layer.
We received a donation of Jerusalem artichokes, and will be planting them soon.
Other Happenings
- Edwin has moved into Michael's place and Dan and Nikki will soon be moving into Edwin's old motorhome, providing another small camper vacancy for visitors or members.

- Edwin has taken the safety training for the Adopt-a-Highway clean-up and we are ready to go.
